Adeela Suleman

Artist, Educator, and Cultural Leader

Adeela Suleman is a Karachi-based artist whose multidisciplinary practice examines histories of violence, power, memory, and resistance through sculpture, installation, jewelry, and public art. Over the past two decades, she has become one of Pakistan’s most influential contemporary artists, exhibiting internationally at museums, biennials, and galleries across Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and North America.

Alongside her artistic practice, Suleman has played a significant role in shaping Pakistan’s contemporary art ecosystem. She served as Head of the Fine Art Department at the Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture and is a founding member and director of Vasl Artists’ Association, one of South Asia’s leading platforms for artistic exchange and international collaboration. Through her work as an artist, educator, and cultural organizer, she has fostered meaningful dialogue between local and global artistic communities while supporting new generations of artists and cultural practitioners.
